Year 2002 Activities February 2002 Annual General Meeting The Annual General Meeting was held on 03rd Feb. 2002at Hotel Grand Continental, Abu Dhabiwhich was well attended by our members. In the meeting Audited Accounts for the year 2001 were adopted. Also new committee members were elected.   March 2002 Budget Meeting This year's Budget meeting was arranged by ABN Amro Bank and Khaleej Times on 11 March 2002 at Le Maridien Hotel, Abu Dhabi. "Analysis of Union Budget 2002-2003" along with Economic Scenario was made by our regular speaker Mr. H. P. Ranina. Separate block of seats was reserved for our Chapter members. The meeting was largely attended by the chapter members.   A PICNIC was organized on 22 March 2002at Mafraq Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The PICNIC was well enjoyed by the members and their families. There were about 80 adults and 35 children.   April 2002 Workshop on E-Security   May 2002 Workshop on Trade Finance   Workshop on IAS 39   A workshop on International Accounting Standard 39 was organized on 18 May 2002at Intercontinental Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The workshop was sponsored by Ernst & Young and conducted Mr.Fudli Talyarkhan, Managing Partner, Ernst & Young. It was one of the best-attended talks.   July 2002 Workshop on TQM   A workshop on TQM and its relevance to Finance and Accounting was organized on 12th July 2002 at NMC Guest House. Mr.Chander Mohan, consultant and specialist on the subject conducted the seminar. It was very well attended and appreciated by our members.   September 2002 PICNIC A PICNIC was organized on 27th September 2002 at UAE Armed Forces Officers club, Abu Dhabi. The PICNIC was well enjoyed by the members and their families. There were about 90 adults and 30 children.   October 2002 Annual Seminar   The International seminar for 2002 was organized on 24th and 25th October at Intercontinental Hotel. The theme of the seminar was "Challenges in a Borderless World". This seminar was very well attended and was appreciated by our members.   A workshop on Trade Finance was organized on 03 May 2002 at Hilton Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The workshop was sponsored and conducted by HSBC Bank. It was very well attended and appreciated by our members. A workshop on E-Security was organized on 16 April 2002 at Hilton Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The workshop was sponsored and conducted by Alpha Data.
